Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of 5DollarFootballAPI (the "Service"). By creating an account or using an API key, you agree to them.

1. Accounts & API keys

You are responsible for keeping your API keys secret and for all activity under your keys. Do not share keys publicly or embed them in client-side code you cannot secure. You may rotate or revoke keys at any time from your dashboard.

2. Acceptable use

Do not exceed your plan's rate limits or attempt to circumvent them, resell raw API responses as a competing data feed, or use the Service for unlawful purposes. We may rate-limit, suspend, or terminate accounts that abuse the Service.

3. Subscriptions, billing & refunds

Paid plans are subscriptions billed in advance in US dollars through Stripe, monthly or annually depending on the term you choose. They renew automatically at the end of each term at the then-current price until you cancel. We do not store your card details.

Cancelling. You can cancel at any time from your dashboard. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for — you keep full access until then, and your account reverts to the Free plan afterwards. Your API keys keep working; they simply return Free-plan data and rate limits.

Refunds. If the Service is not what you expected, email us within 14 days of your first payment and we will refund it in full. After that window, and for renewals, payments are non-refundable and we do not pro-rate partial periods — cancel before a renewal date to avoid the next charge. If we are the ones who break something (an outage or defect that makes your plan unusable for a sustained period), contact us and we will make it right.

Changing plans. Plan changes take effect immediately, and we show you the exact amount before you confirm. Moving between a monthly and an annual term starts a new billing period there and then, so your card is charged for it at once, less the unused part of what you already paid. Changing within the same term instead carries the difference onto your next invoice. Where a change leaves you in credit, that credit is applied to your future invoices with us and is not refunded to your card.

Failed payments. If a renewal fails, we retry over the following days and email you. Access continues during that window; if payment ultimately fails, the subscription is cancelled and the account returns to the Free plan.

Price changes. We may change plan prices. Existing subscribers keep their current price for the remainder of the term, and we will give at least 30 days' notice by email before a new price applies to a renewal.

Taxes. Prices are exclusive of any taxes that may apply in your jurisdiction; you are responsible for those.

4. Data

Sports data is provided "as is" for informational purposes. While we work to keep it accurate and timely, we do not warrant that it is error-free or suitable for any particular purpose, including betting decisions. You use the data at your own risk.

5. Availability

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service on non-SLA plans. Scheduled maintenance and upstream data delays may occur.

6. Changes

We may update these terms or the API. We'll give reasonable notice of breaking API changes via versioning. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

7. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, 5DollarFootballAPI is not liable for indirect or consequential damages, or for losses arising from betting or trading decisions made using the data.
